Statement from Chair  

 

Bridget Davis one of the four pioneering women who started the Pepperpot Centre in 1981 designed to combat discrimination, isolation, depression and loneliness amongst the growing Windrush generation of Caribbean older people living in West London. It also helped to empower them to take charge of their own lives after sacrificing so many of their youthful years for the United Kingdom. Bridget was a stalwart supporter and defender of the Centre, which continues to provide a critical community service.  

 

Everyone at Pepperpot would like to offer our condolences to Miranda and the rest of Bridget’s family at this sad time.  

 

Funeral Arrangements  

 

Funeral to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Taliaris, Carmarthenshire on 16 March 2023 at 2pm.  

 

 

For those unable to get to Wales, a memorial event will be held at The Pepper Pot Centre in West London at a later date.
