Yesterday was a sad day for our members, many of whom have vivid and fond memories of meeting the Queen on the two occasions The Queen visited the Centre during her reign, the first time in 1976 whilst it was in Ackland Road and then in 2006 at its current premises in Thorpe Close. 

 

Her Majesty was a dedicated and committed leader who served her citizens extremely well and will be dearly missed.

 

We send our condolences to the new King and wish him all the best in his new role.
